The King 530 Reads EStories
The King, is a fairytale nursery rhyme designed to be read by fathers to their daughters between the ages of 3-6 years old. It is designed to help fathers explain to their daughters why they make the decisions they do, and to help raise the level of understanding and love between them.

The story is about a young king whose world is turned upside down when his daughter is taken from her room one night by an evil wizard. The little princess sings with such beauty that three fairies give her special powers that make her glow with radiant light. Many throughout the kingdom believe her powers are to protect them, but one in the kingdom wants her powers for his own. A dark wizard transforms himself into a giant eagle, flies into her room late one night, and takes her to his dark tower in a far distant land. The king is quickly alarmed, and with three animal companions, his horse, hound, and falcon, they race across the land to bring her home.

It is a story designed to explain the fears all fathers have for their children. To explain those fears to them in a fantastic fairytale way, and not to scare them. An easy way to express his love, show them his strength, and no matter what cost he would pay to keep them safe.

A Tasty Murder 686 Reads AuthorBook
According to the other cops, Rosie Epstein would have been a great detective if she’d only had balls. The thirty-two-year-old dealt with the obnoxious males of the Boston Police Department for ten years before a rich kid in a Lincoln ruined her knee and ended her career. Yet, just as she settles in for a life of painkillers and whiskey, the murder of a botanist and the kidnapping of his Chinese assistant forces her to shove a gun and a gold badge back into her purse.

I wrote this story when I was in my wee twenties, back in the early stages of my writing career, so You Can't Take it With You holds a special place in my heart as the first short story I ever wrote.

It's written in dialect, so some might find it difficult to read. You Can't Take it With You might also be considered a "morality tale". I don't make the claim that it is the best story ever written, but only the first. I hope you enjoy it.

I was torn between feelings of anger and happiness at seeing O again. I was happy that he was alive and well, but the fact that he had not come out to say hello to me sooner bothered me. I recalled the hour and a half I spent at their restaurant the night before. When Mihoko was serving my tea she mentioned her "brother". She said he told her to offer me a blanket when I was wet which meant, he cared about me still. How could I be angry at that?

Love, suspense, and passion makes for a thrilling read in this fast paced mystery.

Just when he thought his life couldn't get any better, O finds himself on the run, unwittingly repaying his family's debt to a shadowy Japanese mafia outfit by leaving behind the only girl he has ever loved. He returns six years later, working as a chef at his family's restaurant when a series of crimes brings them together again, and not only must he answer for his mysterious absence, but whether he ever really loved her at all.

O will do everything in his power to keep Victoria safe, even if it means keeping her in the dark.

Dominic is an average University student who feels his life is stuck in a rut.
Although he has a job, good grades and friends, he feels like his life is passing him by without him really living, or doing anything outside the mundane and mainstream.

A trip to a seemingly unknown island in the Maldives is the perfect opportunity for him to have a unique and personal experience, so Dom sets off, alone. However he finds that it is not so easy to escape the grasp of mediocrity and uniformity that has enveloped his world, and he must reevaluate his feelings about life, self-worth, and what makes an individual.

This is a fictional short story with light drama and humour. It is set in a fictional version of the real world, in which a mysterious island called Goljaban exists among the Maldives islands.

Goodreads Page

A fantasy ebook described in reviews as one that fans of realistic fantasy will like, featuring interesting heroes and villains, and with a writing style reminiscent of Lord of the Rings, the novel is set in a world where mythology and Fey creatures do exist. Humankind is spread out in towns and villages, with a few cities of culture. Technocratic and religious cults spread across the land, offering hope to the beleaguered masses.

Follows the development of rocketry from the end of World War Two through to the launching of Sputnik One and Explorer. Features the careers of Wrnher von Braun and Sergei Korolev.

This is a very interesting book. It's well written and avoids being over technical. However what I found really interesting was that this is the first e-book I have read that takes advantage of the power of the new e-readers and tablets by making use of videos to support the narrative. Throughout the book, usually at the end of each chapter, are touch-buttons that take you to documentaries and film clips that support the story. Additionally the Table of Contents has been designed so chapters can be selected using a finger - unlike many others that are too closely spaced. There's plenty of photos including many in colour.

Welcome to my first self-published poetry book Princess of Pain. The first three poems are fictional. The rest of the book explores my own life's struggles including domestic violence, homelessness, depression and addiction

Extracts from the ebook release ABSOLUTELY DONE by Dominae Primus is featured by bookdaily.com and Front Row Lit Monthly(October 2012 issue)

By Dominae Primus

ABSOLUTELY DONE is an adventure, action comedy that is as full of slam bang action as it is in terms of witty comic exchanges, wise cracking and spirituality with a nod to mythology. Light enough for the casual reader, engaging for audiences looking beyond flash and explosions and intense enough in action for those who wish to have a cinematic feel of brawn and adrenaline.
